Running and Winning

This workshop is a joint program with the League of Women Voters, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and CCAAUW. Working in small groups students from Pennsauken High School had the opportunity to interview local elected officials and held a mock campaign in which they analyzed an issue, developed a platform, and delivered a speech.

NJ AAUW Visits the United Nations
October 26, 2016

Sandy Wahl and Linda DeFelice were among 58 NJ AAUW members participating in the Oct. 26 trip to the United Nations. We were briefed by AAUW Youth Representative Veronica McKinny (pictured in blue top) and AAUW Representative Gloria Blackwell (pictured in green top). Our tour guide from Lithuania is pictured in the Security Council and by the Chernobyl tapestry donated by Belarus. AAUW UN reps attend briefings, organize events, and form coalitions to take action on women’s issues.
